Nitro

AFCA

Hyattsville

Nitro: AFCA are coming off of two consecutive wins against Kensington and Virginia after losing two in a row. Nitro is also coming off of a win against Kensington and will be looking to maintain the momentum. Hyattsville has seen a lot of low scoring games this year and this will most probably be another low scoring game which Nitro will just about win.

Tigers

Vikings

Metro

Tigers: This is the first PD game to be played at Metro this year. The scores on this ground have been on the lower side. Tigers’ is coming off of twin wins against the mighty Dulles while Vikings lost a close encounter against Cosmos. With the heavy outfield making it difficult to score, I feel the stronger Tigers’ bowling line up will be able to restrict Vikings to win this game.

Kensington

Titans

Hyattsville

Titans: With four consecutive losses, Kensington aren’t looking as intimidating as they were initially thought to be. The team is still coming together and Juicy will be hoping to use the next two games to get the team to gel together for the 40 over tournament. Titans on the other hand have been on a dream run. They are unbeaten in the tournament so far and will most likely continue to be unbeaten after this game.

Virginia

Nitro

Galwaypark

Nitro: Virginia likes to get to the “underdogs” status before exploding onto the scene. Virginia was not performing or winning games at the beginning of the 2013 season before Shahzad weaved his magic to win the trophy. I feel this season will be the same. A lot has been said against the team but I expect Shahzad to go about with his business in the same manner. I expect Nitro to continue its winning run and beat the WCL Powerhouse VCC.

Dulles

Titans

Hyattsville

Titans: Dulles will be trying to recover from the twin losses against Tigers and will find themselves against the unbeaten Titans. Although Titans have lost the services of Faisal bhai, they have enough fire power in their bowling and batting line ups to beat Dulles in this top of the table clash!

Zolon

UMBC

Bucklodge

UMBC: The 2013 Division One rivalry is all set to continue in PD this year. Based on last year’s match ups, there are no favorites; these two teams played against each other on 4 occasions and the records were even at 2-2. Both teams won one T20 and one 40 over game. The new Bucklodge pitch is yet to be tested and this will be the first PD encounter on this pitch. Spinners are a lot less effective on Astro turf and though Zolon boasts a stronger and in-form batting line up, I feel UMBC, with ample variety in their bowling unit, will win this encounter. Game of the weekend!

Cosmos

Boyds

Fairfax

Boyds: So far Boyds has won all their home games in WCL T20 and lost all their away games. All their home games have been at Soccerplex (Astro Turf). Cosmos on the other hand, lost by a big margin in their only home game this season but have done extremely well to win 2 very close games out of their 3 away games and losing one on the penultimate ball.  Both their wins were at Hyattsville and both their losses have been at Fairfax. I feel that Boyds will take this encounter with relative ease.
