Most teams unfortunately have been out of action for over two weeks courtesy rain and the long weekend. Now let’s talk about making it to the playoffs.

Empire, Nova & Bengals so far unbeaten and leading the pack. DCUnited, Hunters & Windies are definitely the next three probables. So that leaves the remaining 12 teams to fight it out for the two remaining slots. Teams really need to pull up their socks if they haven’t so far. Here are this week’s picks :

07/11:   Dcunited v. Toucans @Bucklodge

Pick: DCUnited

Toucans with nothing really going their way won’t have their hopes high if DCU continue to dominate with the bat. Should be a one sided affair but you never know. I wouldn’t relax if I were DCUnited.

 07/11:   Empire v. Bengals @Woodmoor

Pick: Empire

A terrific match-up between two unbeaten teams. Empire topping the Div2 standings are the favorites but Bengals bowling might surprise them.

07/11:   Spartans v. Masters @Jefferson

Pick: Spartans

Spartans need to take this game seriously and grab the points on offer to stay alive in this competition. Masters have a chance only if they can bowl Spartans out cheaply.

07/11:   Washington v. Lions @Galwaypark

Pick: Washington

Roll-a-coster ride for Washington so far but they need every win possible to make it to the playoffs. As for the Lions all teams that Washington beat in T20 have so far beaten them in this format. Lions may want to capitalize on that theory.

07/12:   Baltimore v. Hunters @Woodmoor

Pick: Hunters

If Baltimore show up for the game then Hunters should be able to wrap things up in style. Baltimore batsmen need to show up for every game going forward just like their bowlers or else they will face the worst season in Baltimore CC history ever.

07/12:   Chargers v. Frederick @Bucklodge

Pick: Chargers

Frederick on a new high should be able to give a good fight to a young Chargers side. One big win can transform a team and Frederick have a good opportunity to make winning a habit.

07/12:   Nova v. Windies @Galway

Pick: Nova

Game of the week !! The winner will definitely be the Championship favorites. So far Nova have demonstrated how it’s done. Windies need to get over their Hunters loss and are completely capable of proving me wrong.

07/12:   Omnitech v. Warriors @Metro

Pick: Omnitech

Hopefully Omnitech won’t make a mess out of the free points. Warriors on the other hand need to play to their potential which they haven’t so far.
